Art Photography: Seeing Ireland

I photographed a number of art pieces for the fascinating Seeing Ireland project: a 3D virtual recreation of this seminal 1922 art exhibition in Paris, Exposition D’Art Irlandais, that announced the Irish Free State to the world.

This digital humanities project formed part of the Decade of Centenaries programme for 2022.

Eoin MacNeill, 1918, charcoal on paper, 46.5 x 35 cm. Private collection.

Susan Mary (‘Lily’) Yeats, The Garden, silk embroidery on blue poplin ground, 24x36cm, Private Collection.

Seeing Ireland is funded by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, as part of the Decade of Centenaries Programme. Designed and delivered by Dr Billy Shortall and Dr Ciaran O’Neill.
